Development Prayers:
In the next few weeks, baby j will double in weight and add inches to length. Right now, he's/she's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. Pray that final positioning is happening without any problem. The legs are much more developed, the head is more erect than it has been, and the eyes have moved closer to the front of the head. Baby j's ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of the scalp has begun, though his/her locks aren't recognizable yet. Toenails have even started growing. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, baby j's heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as baby j continues to develop. Pray for baby j's heart to be formed like it should and to continue working properly and doing it's job.
Symptoms:
- headaches--I never got headaches before and they come and go now. The Dr. said this was normal and gave me prescription to take when they come on. I think I had my first migraine a couple weeks ago, which I hope to never experience again. ever.
- i can't eat mexican--This makes me so sad because it's one of my favorite places to eat. But the salsa does me in and what's the point in eating mexican if you can't have salsa? :)
- energy--I have lots of it! I wake up ready to go in the morning. I feel so rested and alert in the mornings--it's great.
- face has cleared up--I do get a blemish every now and then, but those first few weeks, I was getting ready to call in my order to proactive.
- ligament pain--still getting some of this and I was told to expect it for the next couple weeks or so. But it has gotten less severe since 12-14 wks.
- belly growth--I'm noticing at night that my bump is getting bigger and harder. I also noticed that I have new veins running along the side of my stomach that I never knew existed. And I'm starting to get the side indents of a protruding stomach. Oh, and my belly button is starting to stretch out.
