12 weeks / 3 months [praying for baby J]

From what I've read, the most dramatic development this week is reflexes. Baby j's fingers will soon begin to open and close, toes will curl, eye muscles will clench, and the mouth will make sucking movements. Apparently, if I prod my abdomen, baby J will squirm in response, although I wouldn't be able to feel it--yet.   :) Baby J finally has an unquestionably human face: eyes have moved from the sides to the front of the head, and ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, baby J is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

Development Prayers:
Pray for baby J's intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord.  Pray they will start to move on schedule and healthily into the abdominal cavity about now, and that the kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder like they should. Continue to pray for baby J's brain while synapses are forming furiously.  Also pray for the nerve cells as they are multiplying rapidly.
